Why I nominated Shawn:
As Chief Revenue Officer, Shawn is responsible for everything needed to create, manage and grow revenue at Act-On Software, the leading marketing automation platform for the mid-market. Overseeing Act-On’s sales lead management operations, Shawn is instrumental in many of the company’s product innovations.
What stand-out thing have they done?
Over the past year, Shawn has seen Act-On’s sales presence more than triple domestically, with new offices opened in Boston, Chicago, and Spokane (all joining the flagship office in Roseville, California). He has also helped to build and manage international sales teams based out of Bangalore and the UK, and has worked tirelessly to ensure overall sales operations and sales enablement efforts run smoothly.
In addition, Shawn continues to preside over and support the company’s expansive sales organization, having a hand in shaping and improving on the company’s go-to-market strategy and in crafting Act-On’s organizational and revenue structure. His contributions to advancing the company’s vision have been sizable: he has been a frequent guest on podcasts regarding sales structure and sales and marketing alignment, and has also helped to net the company top accolades (a place in Forbes Magazine’s list of fastest growing companies in 2013, and in the Inc. 500 for a second year running).
